(1) lead quenching (sotholatinization)

Is usually says patenting, also called wire annealed treatment, at present is still widely used at home and abroad Gao Jiangren steel wire for the production of a heat treatment method, through the lead wire after bath, its strength and hardness are increased about 10%.

(2) annealing

Annealing is generally a method of heat treatment that is cooled at a slower rate.

Purpose for organization of homogeneous rod, eliminate the strain hardening and brittleness, soften steel wire products, change the material toughness, ductility, tensile strength, yield point, elongation and other physical properties, forming a specific microstructure.

Annealing can be divided into several types.

Complete annealing: heating to above critical temperature, cooling after a certain time.

Recrystallization annealing (intermediate annealing) : usually used to remove cold-drawn steel wire for processing hardening. The essence is to heat the wire to the recrystallization temperature above the critical point and then cool down.

Spheroidizing annealing: spherification annealing can cause carbide to form a spherical or granular distribution in ferritic matrix and thus facilitate machining.

Normalizing: heating is the highest point above the temperature of 30 ℃, and then wire cooling in air or protective atmosphere as soon as possible, this method is often used to handle in the middle.

(3) quench the fire

Also known as oil tempering. This heat treatment is carried out after the steel wire is cold-drawn to the finished size. Normally used for processing medium and high carbon steel wire, the product is mainly used to make the spring and cotton wool card. The processing method is: heating is the highest point above 30 ~ 50 ℃, heat preservation time, and then quenched in oil, reheating in the molten lead.

In addition to the special coarse steel wire used in the plate processing, usually adopt the expansion method for the steel wire quenching tempering. Compared with the cold-drawn steel wire, quenching tempering steel wire has the following characteristics: high strength (when diameter greater than 2 mm) and elasticity, and the physical properties of the high uniformity, high service life and small deformation.

(4) tempering treatment

It is commonly referred to as the elimination of stress treatment, suitable for cold drawing and high carbon steel wire. The method is to heat the temperature below the transition temperature and then cool it to room temperature to eliminate the internal stresses generated when the wire is cold. Tempering treatment is often used for prestressed concrete wire and tire edge wire. Tempering can improve the elongation rate of the cold-drawn wire, reduce the relaxation value, and improve the ratio of yield to strength, but it can reduce the tensile strength and bending value of the steel wire.

(5) stabilization

Stabilization is a kind of low-temperature deformation heat treatment, which is to heat the steel wire under a certain load for a period of time to improve its deformation resistance. It is used to produce prestressed steel strand, prestressed steel strand and other products.

(6) solid solution treatment

In essence, a high temperature annealing is designed to completely dissolve the alloy element into the matrix. Usually used to deal with stainless steel and heat resistant steel wire.

(7) deformation heat treatment

Blend deformation and phase transformation of a kind of heat treatment process, its deformation strengthening and phase transformation strengthening comprehensive effect, therefore is a kind of can improve the strength, but also improve the effective technology of plasticity and toughness.
