Wire rope use and storage system

Article 398 of the Regulations states that the following requirements must be observed when using and storing wire ropes:


(1) After the new rope arrives, the inspection unit shall carry out acceptance inspection. After being qualified, they should be properly kept for backup to prevent damage or corrosion.


(2) The complete original data including the manufacturer, certificate of conformity, and acceptance certificate must be maintained for each coil of wire rope.


(3) Wire ropes that have been in storage for more than one year must be checked before being suspended and can be used only after they are qualified.


(4) The steel wire ropes (except shaft hoisting ropes) specially designed for lifting materials with a diameter of 18 mm or less have manufacturer's certificate of conformity, and the appearance inspection is free of rust and damage, and the first item and the third item of the first paragraph of this Article may not be performed. The required inspection.


Regulation No. 399: The inspection of hoisting ropes shall be carried out using equipment and methods that meet the requirements. The inspection cycle shall meet the following requirements:


(1) The steel wire ropes used for elevating personnel or elevating personnel and materials shall be inspected once every 6 months from the time of suspension; the steel wire ropes of hanging suspension shall be inspected every 12 months.


(2) Wire ropes for lifting materials shall be inspected for the first time 12 months from the date of suspension and once every six months thereafter.


The steel wire ropes for friction wheel winches, balance steel wire ropes, and wire ropes (except shaft hoisting ropes) designed for elevating materials with a diameter of 18 mm or less are not subject to this limitation.


Article 400: The safety factor for ropes used for various purposes must meet the following requirements:


Single rope wound lifting device:


Designed for lifting and lowering personnel: the lowest value of safety factor 9;


When mixing and lifting: lifting personnel and materials, the lowest value of safety factor 9; 7.5 when lifting materials; 6.5 when lifting materials specifically;


Article 401: When the hoisting ropes in use are regularly tested, the safety factor has one of the following conditions and must be replaced:


(1) Less than 7 for elevating personnel;


(2) Wire ropes used for raising and lowering personnel and materials: less than 7 when elevating workers; less than 6 when elevating materials;


(3) Less than 5 for the lifting and suspension of hanging materials;


Article 402: Before the new wire rope is suspended for inspection (including acceptance inspection) and periodic inspection of the rope in use, it must be carried out according to the following regulations:


(1) Inspection before the new rope is suspended: Each type of steel wire must be broken, bent, and torsioned in three kinds of tests, and the results shall be calculated and determined based on the nominal diameter:


1. The ratio of the broken area of the unqualified steel wire rope to the total broken area of the steel wire shall be 6%. It shall not be used as lifting and lowering personnel; up to 10% shall not be used as lifting and lowering materials;


2. The safety factor calculated from the sum of the qualified steel wire tensions shall not be used if it is lower than the requirements of Article 400 of this regulation.


(2) In the regular inspection of ropes, only two kinds of tests of breaking and bending of each steel wire may be performed. The test results are still calculated and determined based on the nominal diameter:


1. The ratio of the broken area of the unacceptable steel wire to the total broken area of the wire is up to 25%. The wire rope must be replaced;


2. Calculate the safety factor based on the sum of the qualified steel wire breaking force. If it is lower than the provisions of Article 401 of this regulation, the wire rope must be replaced.


Article 405: When the ratio of the broken wire area to the total cross-sectional area of the steel wire rope in one strand pitch reaches the following values, the strands must be replaced:


(1) 5% of wire ropes used by lifters or lifters and materials;


(2) wire ropes used for elevating materials, balance wire ropes, anti-dropping brake wire ropes (including buffer ropes), and wire ropes that double as conveyor belts for hauling people are 10%;


(3) 15% for the ropes of the tank road;


Article 406 The diameter reduction calculated based on the nominal diameter of the wire rope must reach the following values:


(1) Raise the wire rope or brake wire rope by 10%;


(2) 15% of the ropes in the tank road;


When using the sealing wire rope, the thickness of the wire thickness of the outer layer reaches 50%, it must be replaced.


Article 407: When the wire rope is subjected to a canister during operation, and suddenly pulled out, it must be stopped immediately. If one of the following conditions is found, the rope must be cut off or the rope must be replaced:


(1) The wire rope is seriously distorted or deformed;


(2) Broken wires exceed the provisions of Article 405 of this Regulation;


(3) The reduction in diameter exceeds the provisions of Article 406 of this Regulation;


(4) The length of the section subjected to violent pull is longer than 0.5%. During the use of the wire rope, the number of broken wires suddenly increases or suddenly increases, and must be replaced immediately.
